If you've ever wanted to learn about the health benefits of fermenting and how to ferment at home, this workshop is for you!
Ferments & Pickles is a hands on cooking class where you will learn, create & take home 3 styles of delicious fermented & pickled goods!
This workshop is limited to 6 students only, taught by Vicki Freeborough - an award winning chef with over 10 years experience. The intimate class size allows the students to gain an indepth knowledge and personalised learning experience.
In this class, you will gain hands on experience, making 3 styles of ferments or pickles -
We try to work in season with produce, so the workshop might include a selection of the following;
- Korean Kimchi
- Sour slaw
- Celeriac & apple kraut
- Lime pickle
- Bread & butter pickles
- Goan eggplant pickle
This class is packed full of information - You will be given the recipes that we make on the day, tips & tricks sheet, suggested recipes for use, home fermenting/pickling "shopping list" and a special gift so you can continue to create gut happy recipes at home
At the end of the class, you will take home your creations - 3 varieties of ferments or pickles!
The class will run for approximately 3 - 3.5hrs
You will need to provide 3 jars to put your creations in.
