If you've ever wanted to learn about the health benefits of fermenting and how to ferment at home, this workshop is for you!
CLASS SCHEDULED: Saturday 19th September 2 x classes
Ferments & Pickles is a hands on cooking class where you will learn, create & take home 3 styles of delicious fermented & pickled goods! The information provided is easy to understand and prepares you with the fundamentals to go home and continue to explore the vast world of fermenting & pickling at home!
This workshop is limited to a small group, taught by Vicki Freeborough - an award winning chef with 15 years experience. The intimate class size allows the students to gain an indepth knowledge and personalised learning experience.
In this class, you will gain hands on experience, making 3 styles of ferments or pickles -
We try to work in season with produce, so the workshop might include a selection of the following;
- Korean Kimchi
- Sour slaw
- Celeriac & apple kraut
- Lime pickle
- Bread & butter pickles
- Goan eggplant pickle
This class is packed full of information - You will be given the recipes that we make on the day (plus a few variations!), tips & tricks sheet, suggested pairings / recipes for use, home fermenting/pickling "shopping list" and a special gift so you can continue to create gut happy recipes at home!
At the end of the class, you will take home your creations - 3 varieties of ferments or pickles! Now with a BONUS recipe creation!!!
The class will run for approximately 3 hrs
You will need to provide 4 sterilised jars to put your creations in.
This class is:
- Gluten Free (optional non gluten & gluten accompianments are provided for tastings)
- Vegan (there is optional animal product additions)
